MiJeweler Is Born

In 1998 we created technology which enabled jewelry stores to showcase any product on their web site. Over 1500 stores participated. It allowed stores to compete with newly established Internet storefronts while increasing their virtual offering by millions of dollars. And best of all - it was turnkey! It required little or no Internet experience with sites going online as quickly as 5 minutes.

At the time everyone felt the urge to get online. The jewelry trade mostly held back. Many stores, suspicious of the new technology, were told by manufacturers not to show their product on the Internet and diamond wholesalers were promising they would never cross over to the Internet retail buyer. Ten years later they all have an Internet presence and the diamond dealers... well it's not difficult to see what market many of them are selling too.
